Company Description: TMT Development is a top 5 real estate development company based in Portland, Oregon that focuses on service, community, and sustainability. TMT manages a 9 million square foot northwest real estate portfolio comprised of residential, industrial, retail and office properties.
Job Summary: The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in the management of TMT’s portfolio of properties and achieving the goals set by the Executive Team through direct project support, administrative assistance, and general day-to-day operations.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations - Support the Property Manager by ensuring the highest possible tenant satisfaction through excellent customer service, effective communication (email, phone, and in person), professional presentation, and resolution of their concerns in a timely manner.
Document Review - Assist the Property Manager in reviewing lease documents, contracts etc. in order to administer compliance with Lease Agreements and contracts.
Property Maintenance - Help maintain the property through assisting with the management of services performed by maintenance staff or contractors/vendors. This includes following the directions of the Property Manager to assign work, schedule work, inspect completed work and assist with property inspections.
Administrative - Support the VP of Operations and Property Manager with any administrative duties to include, but not limited to the following: filing, scanning, returning phone calls, scheduling meetings and document preparation.
Secondary Responsibilities
Project Management - Support the Property Manager in the execution of tenant improvement, capital, or other projects. Assist with the development of scopes of work, solicit proposals, draft contracts, coordinate with architects/engineers, interface with tenants, and generally help in managing complex projects from start to finish.
Emergency Response - Assist in the coordination of the response to emergency situations on the
property, including nights and weekends, as necessary. This includes interfacing with emergency
responsive services, tenant emergency contacts, and disaster recovery services/vendors.
Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience in lieu of degree considered
Previous real estate administrative experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Acute attention to detail
Ability to track action items and follow through to completion
Experience with and knowledge of how to use computers, specifically Windows, Internet Explorer,
and Microsoft Office
Experience with Yardi preferred
Possess valid Oregon Driver’s License & own a vehicle that can be used for visiting properties
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Exhibit excellent customer service skills, including conflict mediation
Participate and contribute as a member of a team

Physical Demands
Ability to walk safely on flat or uneven surfaces for distances of one mile or more
Must be able to navigate stairs unassisted
Stoop, bend, duck, crawl, and squat as necessary
Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently,
and/or a negligible amount of force constantly
Navigate and safely climb a ladder
Must be able to sit uninterrupted for at least 1 hour while using computers, analyzing and writing
reports and processing applications.
Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
Demonstrate and follow recommended job-related/ industry-specific ergonomic guidelines.
