The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Oregon has formally endorsed Rene Gonzalez for Mayor of Portland. This endorsement adds to a growing list of support for Gonzalez, who is currently a Portland City Councilor.
BOMA’s board of directors believes amidst these challenging times, Gonzalez’s leadership in revitalizing Portland’s image and livability will play a crucial role in rejuvenating our commercial real estate industry.
Rene Gonzalez’s leadership is expected to positively impact the commercial real estate community in several ways:
1. Pro-Business Policies: Gonzalez has a track record of supporting policies that foster economic growth and development. His leadership could lead to more business-friendly regulations, making it easier for commercial real estate projects to get approved and developed.

3. Infrastructure Improvements: Gonzalez advocates for better infrastructure, which can enhance the attractiveness of commercial properties. Improved transportation and utilities can make commercial areas more accessible and desirable.
4. Community Engagement: Gonzalez emphasizes community involvement in decision-making processes. This approach can lead to developments that better meet the needs of local businesses and residents, fostering a more vibrant commercial real estate environment.
